UCSB is a wonderful place to study Chinese history! I'm fortunate to work alongside two amazing colleagues, and together we cover the full span of China's past. We have also quickly built a lively community of PhD students on team middle and late imperial China. Here's a photo of us proving that historians do go outside: on a hike in the Santa Ynez Mountains!
